When you’re off to bathe in the southern sun or are heading out east to visit family for Christmas, try dog boarding at Rondivills Kennels in Richmond. We know that finding someone suitable to take care of your dog can be a hard task. Our dedicated staff works hard to get to know each dog and their behaviours no matter how long their stay is.
Living on-site, our staff will be there for your dog whenever they need us, providing around-the-clock care. If your dog is the social type, they might enjoy our buddying option where we pair your dog with a similar sized and tempered dog. What Will My Dog’s Kennel Look Like?
Comfort for your dog during their stay is our number one priority. We have 60 individual dog runs that offer both indoor and outdoor access for your pet’s choosing. Measured 22ft by 5ft, each run has heated flooring to ensure your dog has a roomy and warm stay. Everything needed for their stay is included: food, bedding, dishes, and toys.
You are more than welcome to bring something from home to keep your dog at ease, but we cannot guarantee a safe return. Most of our bedding and toys are cleaned every day and things can easily get mixed up!
Catering Picky Eaters
If you have a picky eater or a dog with a sensitive stomach, we can cater to their doggy taste buds. Our FirstMate dry food is grain free and comes in a variety of recipes to give your dog high-quality food while you’re away. What makes us really popular with your furry friends is our homemade stew. Made from ingredients such as ground beef, mixed veggies, rice, and broth, you might even be tempted to try it!
If you need to supply specialty food for your pet, we are more than happy to follow their specific diet and schedule. We can house any food in our fridge or freezer to keep your pet on track with their special regime.
Keeping Your Dog Active
Old or young, sleepy or energetic, your dog will get as much exercise as they need. Perfect for your older pups and those who like to keep it easy, we offer daily leashed walks along our property. If your dog has enough energy to share, we suggest trying our doggy daycare. For 2-4 hours a day, your dog can hang out with fellow tempered and sized dogs specific to their needs.
If you are nervous about leaving your furry friend behind, stop by for a tour prior to making a decision. Next, try your dog for an overnight stay and let us give you a full report on how they did. We are honoured to gain your trust as your dog’s caretaker when you go away on holidays or to visit family.
